Thankfully, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology stepped up starting in 2002 with their Open Course Ware program has provided me with the ideal outlet for my curiosity of what a higher education would be able to provide me.

Economics was always interesting to me and rather than settle for a refresher I shot for the moon and went after Microeconomic Theory I.  This is where my sights on education became unauthorized.  As any student can attest, textbooks are obscenely expensive.  To top it off many are “updated” every handful of years killing the resale market.

International editions of textbooks solved this problem for me.  Printed at a lower quality in India, containing the exact same material and available for purchase on the Internet.  My copies of Advanced Microeconomic Theory and Microeconomic Theory cost me a combined ~$50 instead of $150+.

Unauthorized for resale in the US? LOL.
